Exercise and Stress Reduction Class Schedule

Caregiver Calm
Led by: Rebecca Safon Leary, RYT500 and c-IAYT
Fourth Wednesday of the Month, 10:00am–11:00am, Virtual Only

This calming and restorative class is designed specifically for caregivers and support persons who are caring for someone facing cancer. It combines meditation and gentle stretching techniques to help reduce stress, promote relaxation, and restore a sense of balance. Through mindfulness practices and simple, guided stretches, participants will be guided toward a deeper sense of peace and rejuvenation. This class focuses on self-care, offering tools to manage the emotional and physical demands of caregiving, while providing a nurturing space to relax and reconnect with the body. Salsa for Beginners
Every Tuesday in January, 2:00-3:00pm, In-person only

Get ready to spice up your dance moves with Maria’s Beginner Salsa Series! Whether you’ve always wanted to try salsa but felt a little intimidated or you’re looking to build confidence on the dance floor, this class is for you. In a fun, relaxed atmosphere, we’ll start with the basics—mastering simple steps and feeling the rhythm as we move to the beat. Welcome to a creative community, that you can attend from your dining room table or on your porch. You can even show up with your pajama bottoms! What will you need? What you already have! A pencil and paper, paper bags, old magazines, magic markers, or paint… and you are in! Each session will entail options to draw, paint, collage, sew… You will be given a suggested prompt, with samples to spark your imagination. Georgia Wildlife Journey at the Chattahoochee Nature Center

Join a Chattahoochee Nature Center Naturalist for this indoor program focusing on animals that make their home in our region of Georgia, the Piedmont. This program will include a live presentation of a reptile, opossum, and a bird of prey. Learn all about how these animals survive in the wild with unique adaptations to their environment. Virtual Morning Stretch - Thursdays, 8:30am-9:15am

Wake up with a morning stretch class and to get energized for your day! In this 30-minute class we will perform energy-boosting movements (sitting and standing), focus on proper breathing, and hydration.
