Connecting Through the Arts: Contour Drawing, Wednesday, October 27, 10-12pm. Led by Gayle Torres, ATR-BC. Contour Drawing is a technique used to “see” the way artists do, by slowing down the eye and hand to focus perception. It is used by both beginner and master artists. This class will explore the three types of contour drawings which are used in Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain and The Natural Way to Draw. You do not have to be an artist to participate. Contour drawing can create an experience of deep mindfulness and help reduce stress.
Supplies: Suggested sketch paper at 9”x12,” or larger, a pencil, possibly a Micron type pen.
