Spend time with the Chattahoochee Nature Center’s horticulture staff, and help plant seeds for the Unity Garden, a 1/4-acre garden plot that provides produce for a local food pantry. This group will learn how to plant different seeds and identify which seeds should be planted directly into the garden. Participants will also learn how to prepare trays for seeding, how deep and far apart to plant the seeds, and how to “step-up” seedlings into bigger pots. Discover what it takes to grow plants from seeds! Participants will also be able to take home seeds to start their own produce garden.
